Comms PMR was started on January 1, 1986, by Richard Allport, following the award of a contract from Storno.

The contract was placed for an initial three year period. The basis of the contract was to collect, store and market equipment on behalf of Storno.

Royal Parks Police London to purchase a quantity of redundant radios.

Metropolitan Police

Communications PMR is awarded a contract to handle the disposal of 9000 Storno 800’s plus 700 mobile radios, 160 base stations and a large quantity of antennas.

North Yorkshire Police to purchase a one off large quantity of batteries and computer equipment.


2000

Cambridgeshire Constabulary

A one off purchase of a large quantity of fax machines, telephone equipment and radio equipment, and the forces radio communications command vehicle.

To clear and to dispose of all radio, and computer equipment from radio workshop.

Communications PMR purchased all analogue radio equipment from UK HM Customs.


2003

Communications PMR was awarded a ongoing contract with Suffolk Constabulary for analogue radios and vehicle accessories.

Communications PMR was awarded an ongoing contract with the City of London Police to sell radio equipment and vehicle accessories on their behalf.

Communications PMR was awarded a contract with Western Power Exeter to dispose a large quantity of radio equipment on their behalf.

North East Ambulance Service Communications PMR was awarded a contract to clear analogue radio equipment and computer equipment on their behalf. Also, to dismantle 999 control room equipment.
